Bethel Lutheran Church was founded on March 29, 1890. The first address for the congregation was 4550 W. Lake St. The cornerstone of the present church building at 150 N. Keeler was laid in 1910. The Bethel congregation has worshipped together for 155 years.

The Gathering

Join us in the Augsburg room and the ELCA foyer to remember the historic vibrancy of Bethel’s community ministries. Play Bethel Trivia, see displays of Bethel memorabilia, explore organizational information tables. Tell your stories for an oral history project sponsored in partnership with Dominican University.
